Pairings Party 1.0: The Photos

Thanks to Ross and Bee of Maloof Wines and Jim and Jenny of Fossil & Fawn for introducing us to their favorite party-food wine pairings! The Maloof Syrah/Marsanne blend and Pinot Gris paired splendidly with Totino’s pizza rolls of every combination. Fossil & Fawn skin-contact Pinot Gris with popcorn chicken and BBQ sauce was especially compelling. My personal favorite? Fossil & Fawn Pinot Noir with midwestern crockpot meatballs and mom sauce (think Heinz chili sauce and grape jelly…) Match made in party-food heaven.

Also, thanks to Alan of Bar Botellón for letting us use this beautiful space, to Ann (the best best friend a girl could ask for) for slaving away over the toaster oven and electric deep fryer to bring us hot and fresh Totino’s and popcorn chicken all afternoon, and to Cheryl Juetten for the gorgeous photos!
